My super simple steak marinade

The first recipe I’m going to post is really simple, but so useful. You could really use it on any type of meat, but I use it whenever we’re going to cook steaks. I feel like it makes it a little juicier, and with just enough flavor. I’m also posting this to test out the recipe code here so I get the hang of that. I used this last night on 2 filets and a strip steak that we cooked for 2 friends that were over for dinner – I should have taken a photo but was too excited to eat that beautiful piece of meat and I forgot. Oops.

Super Simple Meat Marinade

1/2 cup Coconut Aminos (the only brand I ever use is Coconut Secret)
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1 pinch salt and pepper

Mix everything in a small bowl.
Place steaks in a plastic container that has a lid. Poke a couple holes in the steaks using a knife or fork (so the marinade can really get itself in there). Pour the bowl of marinade over the steaks and put them in the fridge for a couple hours. Take them out 30 minutes before you intend on cooking them to bring to room temp. Enjoy!
